What is the 'Raw Shoot Files'?

This is a new section I'm going to experiment with.  It's where I'll post some of my favourite images from any organized shoots that I do.  I don't often do organized shoots with or for other people - I usually just shoot what I feel like when I get the inspiration or if I happen to have my camera with me when something catches my eye.  Occasionally though, I'll do a planned shoot with or for other people which is good because it usually gives me a chance to take photographs of a different kind to those I may usually take.

Can the prints of the 'Raw Shoot Files' images be purchased?

Only some (if any) of the shots you'll see here will end up in the online gallery so these pages will show photos that may or may not be for sale in the gallery.  If you see something you really like and it's not listed in the gallery for sale then please contact me.

What's the purpose of the posting the 'Raw Shoot Files' then?

I figured this would be a good way to show a wider variety of photographs and also get feedback from visitors - you can leave feedback on images - it's always interesting to know which shots different people like and why.  I have included a guestbook in this section for feedback so feel free to leave comments (negative or positive) on images and/or rate them. 

Why do some of the photos look a little too dark or too light?

I do very little (if any) digital manipulation on any of my photos and that's especially true in this section - at most some minor cropping may have been done on some shots, so some of what you'll see on these pages may seem fairly raw.  

Sometimes, however, it is necessary for me to make some minor adjustments to an image - usually if the main focus of the image has been over or under exposed and sometimes other small enhancements.  If this is necessary the I make the adjustments before I place them in the gallery or offer them for sale as I want those images to be the best that I can make them.  

This 'Raw Shoot Files' section is not designed to act as my portfolio (you can see my portfolio here).  The images you see here are just a selection that I like from any particular shoot and they have generally not been adjusted or enhanced, hence the 'raw' in 'Raw Shoot Files' (nothing to do with the camera raw file format or shooting naked!)
